Yes, we changed our name from Tashtego to Tego - it was another good idea from you. As much as we loved the literary reference (Tashtego was a character in Moby Dick), there were as many pronunciations as customers. Some of you were already calling us Tego, so we switched.

Got some big news for you. The campaign for the Tashtego Travel Kit V2 passed $90,000 this morning. this new version, designed with input from 15 of our most enthusiastic backers, is bigger, made of modern materials, has a new closure system, more pockets and a bigger zipper pocket, just to name a few of the changes. The backers just decided that the second color will the Pantone Turkish Sea, which is a really pretty blue.

I'm thrilled to announce that we have officially sold out of Tashtego 1.0! We ordered about 40% more than we needed for our Kickstarter backers, and, thanks to you and our retail partnerships, they are all gone only three months after the last reward shipped.
It's been a tremendous learning experience. Thank you for your support, your patience and your input.
We're in the process of creating a new, improved version, and expect to launch Tashtego 2.0 this summer - standby for news. We are going to need some help from some of you testing the prototypes.
